LATEST HAPPENINGS: 01/05/08
Hi Everyone - Hope all of you had a wonderful holiday season and off to a good start in 2008! It's been a busy December -I had the pleasure of playing in Moscow with the Santana Band, and in the Cayman Islands with jazz singer Lavay Smith.
I'm happy to announce that my band will be performing on January 12th at "The Jazz School" in Berkeley, California. The show starts at 8:00 PM.
For more details and tickets, their site is: The Jazz School
For this performance the line up is:
Cedricke Dennis - Guitar (Ledici, Narada Michael Walden)
Mike Aaburg - Keyboards (Goapele, Lalah Hathaway)
Jeff Brennan - Bass (Omar Sosa, Josh Jones)
Karl Perazzo - Percussion (Santana, Sheila E)
Ron Smith - Drums (The Gospel Hummingbirds, The Braxton Brothers)
Hope to see all of you there!
Early 2008 will be a busy time-I'll be working with the Bay Area's own Lloyd Rich on the finishing touches of my recording project. Lloyd is one of the most gifted producers and writers anywhere, as well as a wonderful keyboardist. For more info on Lloyd, check out his my space page: http://myspace.com/lloydrich
I'm also slated to work on some other interesting recording projects in early '08. Record producer/Raggae Artist "Stand Out Selector" and I are planning on finishing the "Spark Plug" project. Rock/electronic experimental drummer John Tallman is enlisting my services on his intriguing project, and I'm looking forward to my next project with Lloyd Rich.
This year the Santana Band is resuming work after taking most of '07 off. Our first tour starts in Febuary, with the band going to Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand. In addition, we will be doing two US tours and a trip to Europe to round out the year.
I will also be playing at the "Voices Of Latin Rock" concert at Bimbo's in San Francisco on January 24th. This is my 3rd time playing @ the VLR event-it's always lots of fun and one can expect some surprise guest performances.
Thank you all for your continued support!
